Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Neha Gupta is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Regional Futures project whose research interest lies in the intersection of digital technologies and urban spaces. She explores the affective and performative possibilities of digital-human interaction and how digital technologies function as key urban and social infra/structures. As an example, Neha has used Uber to investigate how digital interfacing alters the legibility of Calcutta. For her PhD, Neha looks at the digitalisation of various spatial, social, and individual processes towards pursuing a new mode of thinking with and about the digital that is human-centric and aware of the internal limits of techno-digital solutionism.
