Jesus Flores is a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the Regional Futures. He is a geographer by training, has a master's degree in Human Geography, and recently obtained his Ph.D. in City, Territory and Sustainability. His research is based on social construction of risk, focusing on how socio-spatial dynamics produce unsafe conditions for vulnerable people in the urban context. Dr. Flores has more than 9 years of doing research on the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara, Mexico. In addition, he has worked as an external consultant for public agencies and coordinated several state, regional, and municipal planning instruments.
